Unfortunately; the campaign failed, but the site is worthy of a look and a reminder of how much residents need to band together to prevent further development.

The Group was founded in 2001 to fight Western Power Distribution, which intended to redevelop the site of Llanishen Reservoir. The campaign was a resounding success, and in 2016 a 999 year lease was granted to Dwr Cymru / Welsh Water.

Kris has written ten well illustrated and researched blog articles about the Cardiff Railway. Although a proposed book about the short lived line never raised enough funding for publishing, you can tell a great deal of work went into its preparation. Also on the site are blogs about the city in general, including the gas holders in Grangetown, and Queen Street Railway Station.
- Cardiff Waterways Project
Some years ago, the organisation Art Shell created a website called Cardiff Waterways Map, which was to act as a permanent repository of Cardiff waterways information gathered during a year long research period. It was available to use as a resource for those interested in Cardiff history, geography, ecology, city development and art that responds to the waterways. It also contained amazing merging of multiple maps to show how Cardiff's waterways have changed over the centuries. Sadly - upon last check the original link and site no longer function. - Grangetown Local History Society
The society displays photos, slideshows and audio memories at local community events and fairs, including the annual Grangetown Festival in June. It has also taken part in local and family history fairs and exhibited at the local library. The website is full of useful information and great photos, though there are a few broken links...
- Penarth Dock, South Wales - the heritage and legacy.
The History of the Penarth Dock and Ely Tidal Harbour in South Wales. Follow the story from the days when Brunel's son was involved and Charles Darwin invested in the venture, through the last 150 years or so. Many old images of Cardiff docks are included.

BBC6 is a digital radio station run by the BBC, specialising primarily in alternative music. For me, it has the perfect mix of classics from over the decades, to the latest music from the best artists known today. In the evenings, things can get a little trancy, a bit R&Β or just plain weird! But if it's a mixture of the latest, and sometimes the most random and curious new artists you're after, I found BBC6 to be very good at opening my mind to them.

A colour HD webcam is presently online, and streaming a view of the top end of St Mary Street in Cardiff City Centre. There's also a 24 hour timelapse option, which is really cool!
- Digitally Imported
Digitally Imported streams the world's most addictive Electronic Music. Radio channels feature world renowned artists, DJs, and exclusive music. I enjoy chilled / psy trance when I'm in the mood, and this site offers lots of free tunes!
- Internet Archive (Wayback Machine)
The Internet Archive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. The Wayback Machine (accessible via the Web tab) provides fully saved and archived copies of old websites and their pages, including cardiffians.co.uk.
- PodBean
There are plenty of platforms with which to produce, promote and play your podcasts, but Podbean offers one of the slickest interfaces, both via desktop and their app. I've been using it for years for free - with no adverts or glitches, and a very intuitive way to subscribe to and list your favourite productions.
